How to crop an image
- Select a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Choose freeform or a common ratio, then drag the crop box and its handles.
- Use exact X, Y, width and height values when a platform requires fixed pixels.
- Rotate or flip if needed, preview, and export in your preferred format.
Common mistakes
Do not crop too tightly around a face or product when the design needs breathing room. For social platforms, check the required aspect ratio before exporting; enlarging a very small crop later can make it soft.
The selected image is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our server.
Crop size and aspect ratio
An aspect ratio controls the shape of the crop, while pixel dimensions control its final resolution. Use 1:1 for square profile images, 16:9 for widescreen content, 4:3 for presentations, or Free for a custom composition.
